Specializing in natural nutrition for:
I am a registered dietitian in Kelowna, British Columbia. We recently moved to this beautiful province for the thriving Farmer's Market and the climate, which allows us to live a lifestyle that fits better with our values. My philosophy is that food- in its natural form and as close to the source as possible- is the best tool to help us achieve our goals.
Food can fuel our activities, help us recover, optimize our immune systems and prevent or manage chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. Everybody has reasons for the choices they make- time restrictions, preferences, ethics- my goal is to help you meet your nutrient needs and thrive in a way that works for you.
I am always happy to talk about food and nutrition, better health and balance in our lives. In addition to working as a registered dietitian in the beautiful Okanagan, I am the mother of two young boys, the wife of an ironman athlete and I am a runner (and aspiring yogi and cyclist).
I studied at the University of Manitoba and obtained my Bachelors of Science in Human Nutrition. Following the degree, I went on to intern with the Manitoba Partnership Program- working and studying in a variety of places throughout the province. Prior to studying, I worked and traveled around the world. I have always been struck by the relationship between food, family, culture, good health and the environment. I've worked with a variety of groups from seniors in a long term care setting to prenatal groups. I strive to help individuals and families find balance and to take these global lessons to improve their lives.
I am registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and a member of Dietitians of Canada.
